e.l.f & Shu Uemura | Makeup!

Make up post!
I'm doing this just because i'm really impressed with my recently purchased ELF brushes, and I waited for 2 months to arrive.

But first Shu Uemura goodies!

Shu Uemura - Sunset Gold Palette.

There's actually two palettes for this season but I picked the Sunset Gold, just because the colors are more earthy and less colourful than the other one. The other one is more to a purple, pinkish hue and I hardly even use them! I bought this mostly because its a to go set, where I can just chuck it into my handbag and out I go!

There's a base/cream eyeshadow, white eyeshadow for highlighting and the usual earthy tones, brown and gold. Not forgetting a pinkish shimmery blusher! Fret not, there's a mini eyeshadow applicator brush and also a blusher brush! Talk about convenience!

I paid RM150 for it as I got RM30 off for purchases above RM200, so it was quite worth it for me plus its limited edition as well. Loving it!

Next purchase was the UV Base Mousse.

I've been using this for years, and I like how it protects my skin keeping it hydrated and also minimizes my pores hence a flawless makeup! The bottle on the left used to be the old packaging and the bottle on the right is the new one, new formulation and higher SPF too!

Old packaging - Straight nozzle which requires a 90degree pumping action, kinda messy at times especially when you turn it around.

New packaging - Just shake and press! No hassle!

Definitely an improvement, and I swear by this product! Keeps makeup from smudging and running.

Next will be the ELF products, ELF stands for Eyes Lips and Face :-

"Launched in 2004 and guided by celebrity and beauty professional Scott-Vincent Borba, e.l.f. is a revolutionary new beauty company, able to provide a line of cosmetics that moisturize, hydrate, and enliven your complexion without taxing your budget!"

Things purchased (from left to right) :
Kabuki Face Brush - $5
Small Makeup Holder - $5
Angled Foundation Brush, Fan Brush, Angled Brush, Concealer Brush, Precision Brush, Eyeshadow "C" Brush, Small Smudge Brush - $3 each.
Pigment Eyeshadow - $3
Cream Eyeshadow - $3
Mineral Blemish Kit - $5

I was really impressed with the brushes, it all came in a proper plastic packing with an instruction card at the back. More over, every single brush is labeled making things easier especially when certain brushes looks a tad too similar.

Very soft and smooth bristles, liking it to the touch.
There are different types/line/range of brushes from ELF, mine is the studio line which cost an average of $3 per brush, but there's the essentials line which only cost an average of $1 per brush or the mineral line for using mineral formulation products which cost $5 per brush.

This is the mineral blemish kit, which I got from the mineral line.
What I really like was that it came with its own separate brush, because it is a blemish control powder and I wouldn't want to be mixing it with the other brushes.

The two other eyeshadows :-
Cream Eyeshadow in Candlelight and Pigment Eyeshadow in Golden Goddess.

Haven't got the chance to try them out, but once I do, i'll update on the review!
This is what I got from their website which tempted me to buy them.

Cream Eyeshadow - "Line, shade and contour your eyes with this ultra pigmented and creaseless cream shadow. Easy to blend for layering and building color. The silky smooth and smudge-proof formula provides long lasting color for a beautiful look all day."

Pigment Eyeshadow - "Create a bold and beautiful statement with these jewel-toned, multi-dimensional pigments that impart lustrous high-color payoff and long-lasting wear. The buildable, powdery-fine formula blends seamlessly for ease of application and can be layered for a variety of looks. From soft and neutral to strikingly colorful these six silky and shimmery shades compliment every eye color for a fun, flirty look. Includes Eyeshadow Brush."

By the way, the pigment eyeshadow came with its own eyeshadow brush as well which is felt exactly like the eyeshadow brush I got from the studio line, talk about worthiness!

Anyhoo, this is about it.
Will update about the products when I can :)

Anon 1# : Hello, yepps I apply the base before foundation. Its an important step, protecting your face. Dont remember the exact price but its about RM135-RM170? But lasts for 3 months plus? :)

Anon 2# : My friend got it for me, and I dont have the link. But you can go to Shins, and find similar texture of brushes but the handle/wooden stick is brown in color.
