#OOTD : Checks, checkered ❤ Teatime with a great view.

Let me take a while to talk about my outfit of the day.
Got this lovely black and white, capped sleeve peplum top from Doublewoot.
Monochrome is very in this season!

I love how Doublewoot clothing's are lined but still cool and comfy especially for us Malaysians who are constantly under the hot humid weather.

This top could be dressed up or even dressed down. Dressing up, you could pair it with a black or white, even red skirt for that extra va-va-voom factor, with a pair of killer heels, finishing it up with accessories. For a more simple look you could go for pants, or shorts like how I wore mine but maybe with flats and less accessories. This top is great even if you're lazy to dress up but still want to look presentable, you can go for the dressed down look (:

I was heading for tea, so I kept it simple yet chiq by wearing glittery disco hot pants, a pair of leopard printed killer heels and accessorized with bracelet, necklace, earrings and sunnies!

What do you think?
Howie said I look like I walked out from a Sex and the City movie haha.

As you can see, the top is vert structured, especially at the back, giving my body curves. Not only that the peplum bottom adds a bit of ooph to my hips too! Didn't want to take the attention away from my top so I paired it with my glittery hot pants, plus I wanted something fun and young for the day! If I was attending a formal event I would've paired it with pants, probably a black skinny jeans and a black blazer. Cap sleeved tops are perfect for wearing under blazers as the sleeves don't bulge out.

Lastly, small details like my accessories. The Balenciaga bracelet gave the outfit an edge cause of the leather and buckles/studs, the necklace & earrings in gold to match the whole black and gold theme (didn't want to go overboard with too much black in my outfit), and leopard printed shoes to give the extra pop and also color.

So anyways we headed for my birthday tea at Grand Hyatt's 38.

Thanks to the boyfriend who brought me to this place with spectacular view!
I'm a sucker for awesome views :D

When we sat down, we were told that we could not order any food cause lunch hour has passed, and now it's only finger food and dessert. I was a tad bit disappointed as I wanted to try the seafood platter.
Oh wells, we settled for Earl Grey, 38's infamous lava cake, crab patties, teriyaki chicken and mini burgers.

Overall the snacks or finger food was just meh. Nothing really wow about it.
And their infamous dessert was also so so to me. I hate the fact that my dessert came before my finger food, just puts my tastebuds all upside down.

The presentation nevertheless was on par.

Water is poured into the dry ice which is in a cup (behind the lava cake, in the picture above).
Gooey chocolate sauce poured on top the lava cake, accompanied by banana ice cream and rasberries.

HIIIIIIIIII!

Here's the view of KLCC.
The amount of people watching the fountain and taking strolls in the park. I think this is the most expensive view in Kuala Lumpur, I think.

That was how my day went, it was lovely.
Been a while since I got to relax and just enjoy my tea, with a lovely view infront of me. Though the food wasn't worth the price, the view made up for it.

Anyways here's something special for you darling!
