Dior’s new Diorever bag was developed over a period of more than nine (9) months and takes more than a day to produce. It requires the utmost finesse and skills to make its structured curves, reversible flap, metallic clasp, and precise leatherworking, which ultimately results in a mini work of architecture with a timeless design befitting its name.
The craftsman uses a pattern for the placement of the badge-shaped clasp.
The craftsman shapes the bag’s leather sides on a wooden form made by the modelmaker according to the bag’s materials and dimensions.
The craftsman places the badge-shaped metal clasp with laser-engraved micro-canage at the front of the bag, and then secures the leather-covered portion underneath the flap.
